Project Description
In eastern Bulgaria, in the plain of Maritza near the town of Galabovo, one of the most modern lignite-fired power plant is being built. Maritza East I will have 2 blocks with a net capacity of 300 MV each.VSL Switzerland got contracted for all necessary heavy lifting works. Prospectively Maritza power plant will be on the grid end of 2009.
During the construction of the two blocks, VSL was lifting the following components: steam drum, flue gas duct, front- and side-walls, heating surface, boiler roof and further components of the pressure chamber.
