Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort is situated in Singapore and consists of three hotels which are now connected by the skypark with a length of 340m on top of the buildings 200m above ground level.
VSL Singapore supported by TCAA and VSL Heavy Lifting Switzerland, was responsible for the heavy lifting of the steel superstructure of Marina Bay Sands Skypark.
VSL scope of work included the design of approx. 2,100t temporary steel structure for the lifting, methodology, supply for temporary VSL CT stress bars and heavy lifting operations.
The heavy lifting consisted of lifting and sliding of a pair of Box Girder on top of Hotel Tower 3, lifting of 6 nos. of Link Bridges between Hotel Tower 1-2 and Hotel Tower 2-3 and lifting of 6 nos. of Hotel Tower 3 North Cantilever segments.
